Private Care Sector Workforce Initiative
Aims & Objectives
The main aim of the Workforce Initiative is to develop the capacity of the private care sector to deliver on the national workforce agenda through:
• Involving employers in shaping the workforce of the future
• Providing information on policy, regulation and registration
• Supporting compliance with SSSC required registration
• Supporting services to manage workforce development aspects of Care Commission requirements
• Facilitating individuals and organisations to engage with the leadership and management agenda
• Assisting services to meet their knowledge management needs
• Facilitating use of the Continuous Learning Framework
• Developing practice learning opportunities
• Promoting access to and sufficiency of resources.
The Workforce Initiative will work closely with the Scottish Social Services Council, the Scottish Social Services Learning Networks and our colleagues in the voluntary sector
The agenda is ambitious and it has been broken down into a workplan to ensure that real progress is made to meet the needs identified by the sector.
