Workforce Matters has developed the capacity of the independent care sector in Scotland to deliver on the national workforce agenda. Workforce Matters is managed by Scottish Care and is funded by the Scottish Government through a grant, with the aim of assisting "social services providers in the independent sector to fully contribute to the national workforce development agenda and maximise their capacity to self-manage the development of their workforce". The Scottish Government has agreed that Scottish Care will receive funding until March 2014 to engage in a number of focused activities. Click here for more details.
Scottish Care manages the Workforce Initiative on behalf of the wider independent health and social care sector in Scotland.
