Care for Older People: Launch of national online portal

Supported by Scottish Care, NHS Education for Scotland (NES) launched its Care for Older People Portal on 30th June 2011 at the Beardmore Conference Centre, Glasgow.

This new portal will fully integrate with the NHS Knowledge Network and Social Services Knowledge Scotland (SSKS) websites.  It has been developed in consultation with a wide range of social services partners, with a special focus on the knowledge needs of care home and care at home staff.

It will provide access to evidence and learning resources on topics such as re-ablement, nutrition, stroke, dementia, palliative care and a personal outcomes approach.
