“Facing Dementia Together” Event - 30th March, Edinburgh

30th March 2011 Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh

This one day event brings together the findings so far from the Facing Dementia Together project, funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Alzheimers Scotland and the Dementia Services Development Centre. Presentations will answer the following questions:
• how can people with dementia be given choice about their care?
• how can GPs be helped to make a diagnosis and to support people with dementia and their carers?
• what can we learn from remote and rural communities dealing with diagnosis and post diagnostic support?
• what does self directed care really mean and how can we deliver it?
• how can we tell what people with dementia want for themselves?
Every delegate will be provided with a pack of relevant publications worth £50.
