A One Day Conference, Tuesday 17 May 2011. Sun Oracle Executive Briefing Centre, Linlithgow. This event is a follow up to MacKay Hannah’s ‘Working Together to Protect Adults at Risk’ conference which was held in March 2010.
The conference will consider the implications for adult protection with the setting up of Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS). The agenda will also include presentations on the work of Adult Protection Committees, the role of the Public Guardian and the value of Significant Case Reviews. The afternoon session will include practical workshops for delegates to consider ‘real’ case studies. The conference will also hear from Sir John Arbuthnott who is heading up an independent expert group looking at the future patterns of Social Care in Scotland.
The conference will allow delegates to:
