Improving practice through the effective use and dissemination of Knowledge

This seminar will look at the ‘knowledge’ that is available to inform practice and improve outcomes, where the ‘knowledge’ base is derived from:
• Research and evaluation
• Regulation
• Local good practice

• Protecting adults through regulation
• Case studies from ADSW Adult Protection Lead Officers
• A joint local authority and university research project in Scotland  to explore how social workers are working with the ASPSA 2007
• Good practice in an English local authority
