End of Life Assistance (Scotland) Bill placed before Parliament

This Bill was introduced in the Scottish Parliament on 20 January 2010.  It seeks to allow people who meet certain eligibility criteria to receive assistance to bring about the end of their life, and would ensure that those who gave assistance would not be committing a criminal offence.  The Bill and Explanatory Notes can be found on the Scottish Parliament website by clicking here
