Scottish Ministers are making up to £1m available this year to voluntary sector providers of social services to help develop and train key workers. The Voluntary Sector Development Fund (VSDF) supports small and medium sized voluntary organisations to build a competent workforce by helping to cover the costs of achieving qualifications required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). VSDF, now in its 8th year will assist with the costs of achieving Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Personal Development Awards and participation in leadership programmes for managers. Funding will be available this year for the following groups:
• Managers, supervisors, practitioners and support workers in care home services for adults
• Managers of adult day care services
• Managers of housing support services
• Managers of care at home services
