SCSWIS to be known as the “Care Inspectorate”

From now on the everyday name for SCSWIS is to be  the "Care Inspectorate".  Nicola Sturgeon, Cabinet Secretary for Health, agreed and reported this to Parliament this afternoon.

The formal name, Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) is set out in legislation so will not change. However, in all  day-to-day business, from today, they will be known as the "Care Inspectorate".
