Call for Scottish Care Associates

Scottish Care invites notes of interest from flexible and versatile individuals to work with the organisation as Scottish Care Associates, supporting the delivery of agreed outcomes on short and medium term project work related to key policy streams around adult health and social care.  The overall aim of our many of our projects is to contribute to better outcomes for policy, practice and people.

Scottish Care Associates will be expected to progress projects on related policy agendas.  This will include significant collaborations with provider organisations on development areas (possibly including Change Fund Partnership activities) requiring the creation of work plans; contributing to work groups and consultations; reviewing the evidence base; sourcing expertise and knowledge from key stakeholders, including people supported by services; producing reports; gathering and analysing evidence and working across sectors locally and nationally.

Scottish Care Associates will require to be self-starters and possess excellent communication skills and experience in working with policy makers, providers, regulators and people supported by services.

Scottish Care Associates will normally be self-employed, temporary and be contracted for specific work over specific periods. There may be the opportunity for work on an employed status.

Work patterns will vary according to the funding, the work in hand, the targets and timescales agreed, but may typically be from a day or two per week, a more intensive block period of work over some weeks/months or possibly full-time.  It will usually offer a flexible home-based working pattern.

There will be a daily or contract rate based on the nature of the work and the skills and experience possessed.
